We are here to help!
Lower back pain (LBP) is the most prevalent
musculoskeletal condition and the most common cause of disability.
Studies has shown the average prevalence of LBP among adolescents was
33% and among adults was 50%. The average lifetime prevalence of LBP
among the adolescents was 36% and among adults was 62%. LBP results in
significant levels of disability, producing significant restrictions
on usual activity and participation, such as an inability to work.
Your lower back pain is caused by an injury to any of the lumbar
tissues including muscles, nerves, tendons, discs, joints or bone.
Irritation, damage or injury to these structures may start with slight
discomfort but quickly gets worse to cause severe pain. This is a
problem we see at our practice daily.
The primary goal of the Lower Back Treatment Clinic here at Charnè
Botha Biokinetics is to treat back and neck conditions conservatively
so as to avoid surgery where possible. We aim to manage pain levels,
improve functionality and facilitate optimal quality of life.
