The primary function of a Biokineticist is to improve physical functioning and health by means of individual postural, biomechanical and or health assessment along with scientifically-based physical activity program prescription.

Meet Your Bio

Charnè completed her BA Degree in Human Movement Science in 2019 and BHSc Honours in Biokinetics in 2020 at the North West University. Charne assisted the Varsity College Ladies Soccer team during USSA tournament where she was the team's biokineticist in 2022. She also assisted with rehabilitation for the North West University Rugby teams in 2021.
As a biokineticist, Charnè has completed several additional courses including advanced lower back treatment, reflexiology, pilates, pre and postnatal teacher training, sport massage and kinesiology taping.
Charne is a compassionate and dedicated healthcare professional who takes the time to listen to her patients' needs and concerns. She works closely with them to create customized treatment plans that address their specific goals and conditions.
Her expertise in biomechanics, anatomy, and physiology enables her to design exercise programs that are tailored to each patient's unique needs. Charne's patients benefit from her ability to incorporate cutting-edge techniques and the latest research into her practice.She has a passion for sports and the great outdoors, actively engaging in action netball and participating in fun runs during her leisure time.

Exercise Physiology

Our Biokineticists specialise in physical activity as medicine, improving total well-being, restoring musculoskeletal imbalances, orthopaedic rehabilitation, health management, maintenance and enhancement of physical abilities and functional movement.

We use this combined knowledge of the body and a clinical approach to exercise to prevent, treat and manage injuries and conditions.
